About Alum House Littlebeck
This peaceful and friendly site sits within the North York Moors, boasting a true countryside feel surrounded by woodland and a small stream running through. Home to three Lotus Belle tents, each named to reflect the local wildlife that is so prominent here - Barn Owl, Jenny Wren and Roe Deer. Each of the tents comes with everything you could need, providing a real home away from home. The fully equipped kitchens included a fridge, two cooking points, a food prep area and all utensils and crockery. The first of the tents, Roe Deer is the largest tent set in its own meadow for total privacy. Sleeping up to two adults and two to three children there is a king sized bed with bedding provided, an additional double futon and two single camp beds that you will need to bring your own bedding for. Outside you'll have your own wood-fired hot tub and the extra touches of waffle robes. Jenny Wren is a 5m tent that sleeps up to two adults in a king sized bed and two children with a futon and camp bed provided. Bedding is only provided for the king-sized bed. Set in a private meadow with a woodland walk to the river it is perfect for relaxing with nature. Outside is a fireglobe, BBQ/fire pit and your own wood-fired hot tub and cosy waffle robes! Finally, Barn Owl, sleeps up to two adults in a king sized bed with bedding and two children on camp beds without bedding. Outside is a BBQ/fire pit and a wood fired hot tub. Just a short walk away from the river this tent is ideal for a family friendly break. You'll have the perfect opportunity to take in the outdoors and enjoy a touch of stargazing as each tent has its own private outdoor area. Try a touch of alfresco dining with a seating area and BBQ that can also be turned into a campfire. Added extras such as freshly prepared pizzas, curries and chips or special breakfast and BBQ boxes and fresh cream cakes, and puff pastries with fresh cream can also be ordered from the site for those wanting to make it extra special. The wood-fired hot tubs are a great addition and make your say extra special, do note that wood for these will, however, need to be purchased onsite. You can also have your hot tub heated for your arrival for an additional extra. Whitby is just a 15 minute drive from the site for some traditional seaside fun, they even host a Fish and Chip weekend festival in May! Or, stay at the site and soak in your surroundings from the tree swing! Well behaved medium sized dogs are welcome onsite and there is plenty of countrysides nearby for them to enjoy, there is even a woodland walk that takes you to the river! Fires are allowed to achieve that authentic camping vibe, but please keep them raised off the grass.

There is a facilities block on site which has a private shower room with a toilet dedicated to each tent. The block also includes pot washing facilities, and a microwave, kettle and fridge.
Local pub The Plough is just a five minute drive from the site, with delicious food and drink. Whitby is also just 15 minutes away, here you will find even more pubs and restaurants as well as supermarkets such as Sainsbury's for your essentials.

Things to do on site and in the Whitby area
Make the most of the countryside surrounding you and head out to explore on foot. There are many great walks in the area and the site owners will be more than happy to share some of their favourites with you, including Robin Hood's Bay to Ravenscar or Sneaton Thorpe and Littlebeck to May Beck.
While it may seem like you are in the middle of nowhere due to the peacefulness of the site, you are in fact just moments from popular towns Whitby (15 minutes) and Robin Hood's Bay (20 minutes). Both are steeped in history, spend the day exploring the interesting shops, cafes and galleries.
