Exclusively for adults, Longnor Wood Holiday Park is set in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by open country in a rural location. Pick between hardstanding tent and touring pitches, ensuite glamping pods, caravans with hot tubs and hot tub lodges, there is accommodation for everyone! Everyone will also have access to the great onsite facilities including a licensed shop, dog wash and dog exercise field!

Just for adults (18+), this peaceful site covers over 10 acres, incorporating a four-acre dog walk/recreation field with great views and sunsets. Located in the Peak District National Park, guests can enjoy days out visiting nearby Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock or exploring the stately homes of Haddon Hall or the Chatsworth Estate. The camping and touring area is open yet sheltered by mature trees and conveniently close to the excellent amenities. There are four pitches available for tent campers, each with a 3m x 4m pea gravel section to pitch up on, along with a grassed area and 10 amp electric hook up. For caravans and motorhomes, there are hardstanding pitches. Nine of the pitches come fully serviced with an electric hook up, grey waste drain and a water tap, whilst 11 come with just a 10 amp electric hook up with a water tap nearby. Set in open countryside, this is a quiet, secluded position, hidden from any road or light with amazing dark skies. The only sounds you may hear are the birds in the woodland adjacent to the site or one of the many bushes around the park. Two fully equipped, heated ensuite glamping pods are available for those who prefer their camping with more luxury. There are also six caravan holiday homes with hot tubs, configured exclusively for two adults. The caravans and lodges are fully equipped with everything you need for a romantic break or active holiday in the Peak District. If you want to enjoy evenings in the open, the site has fire pits available to hire. Raised BBQs are also permitted, with gas BBQs available to borrow from reception. The site is dog friendly and welcomes up to two well behaved dogs per tent and touring pitch. Dog friendly lodges, glamping and caravan accommodation are also available.
Longnor Wood Holiday Park is open from 01/01 to 03/01 and 02/02 to 31/12.

1. Touring Caravan & Camping Prices
Caravan and camping prices include your unit, a car, awning, two adults, hot water, showers and use of the park's public facilities. Caravan, motorhome and trailer-tent pitches are all-weather hardstandings with electric hook-up and the majority with digital TV connection.
Payments are accepted by debit or credit card.
2. Booking
Longnor Wood Holiday Park is exclusively for adults. Guests, and visitors, must be over 18 years of age.
Groups exceeding 4 adults will not be accepted.
Your booking is secured on receipt of a £30 non-refundable deposit (£60 Bank holidays) or full payment if booking within 28 days of your intended arrival. In either case, the
balance of payment must be received 28 days prior to your intended arrival.
We reserve the right to re-advertise the pitch if full payment has not been received within 28 days prior to your intended arrival.
Payments are accepted by debit or credit card.
A minimum booking period of 3 nights applies over Bank holidays.
We will endevour to get you on the pitch requested, however this cannot be guaranteed and we reserve to the right to place your booking on a pitch of the same standard.
Guests with access or mobility concerns are advised to contact us at the time of booking.
3. Cancellations
Refund Policy:
0 - 14 days - No transfer or refund will be given
14 - 28 days - The booking maybe moved to another date within the current season, subject to availability and payment of any additional costs. Only one transfer per booking is permitted.
28 days or more - A refund of any monies less the deposit will be refunded.
We strongly recommend guests obtain appropriate holiday cancellation insurance, such as Guest First.
4. Arrival
Guests should park in the car park outside reception and check-in on arrival.
Arrival time is 2pm to 5pm (Mondays and Fridays till 7pm) Late arrivals can be arranged by calling us on 01298 83648
A refundable deposit for return of the security barrier card will be required at check-in.
5. Departure
Check-out is 12 noon on the day of departure. Arrangements for late departures are to be arranged with the park by 11am and the late departure fee paid.
6. Touring Caravan Park Rules
Windbreaks. Only one windbreak per unit please.
Heaters. All heating (gas, electric & solid fuel) is prohibited in awnings and tents.
Noise. In consideration of every guest's enjoyment, excessive noise is not permitted between 11pm and 9am. Playing of radios or other sound equipment which can be heard by neighbours is considered excessive.
Open fires & Barbeques. Open fires are not permitted on the park, which includes fires in barbeques. Camping stoves and barbeques must be kept off the grass, guests may be charged with the cost of repairing damaged grass.
Cyclists. Please exercise care for other guests. Cycling is only permitted on roadways.
Stone walls. Please do not climb on, remove stones from or damage walls in any way.
Fireworks. Use of fireworks or Chinese laterns is prohibited on the park.
Recycling. Guests are requested to use the recycling point opposite reception.
Dogs are welcome, up to a maximum of 2 dogs per unit.
- dogs may not be left unattended at any time,
- dogs must be kept on a leash when inside the park grounds (this excludes the designated dog walk area),
- dog owners must clean up dog mess at all times and deposit it in the bins provided.
The permission for a pet may be withdrawn if the animal is a nuisance.
Chemical toilets are to be emptied in the Elsan disposal point in the Summer house opposite pitch no. 35.
7. Elecricity Supply
Electrical supply is 10 amps, 240 volts.
8. Visitors
Visitors are welcome to visit the park between 9am and 4.30pm.
Please ensure your visitors report to reception on arrival and when leaving the park.
All visitor's cars must be parked in the reception car park for the duration of the visit. Visitors with registered disability should enquire about parking at reception.
All visitor's must be 18 or over.
9. Vehicles
All guest's vehicles must be insured for third party liability while on the park.
The park speed limit of 10mph must be observed at all times.
Washing of cars or other vehicles is not permitted on the park.
10. Lost Property
Lost property will be dated, labelled and stored for a period of 21 days. Property not claimed within this period will be disposed of through charity shops or clothing banks.
Lost property may be claimed at the park or returned to its owner following payment of the appropriate packing and transport fees.
The park owners accept no responsibility for loss or damage to lost property.
11. Legal Contract
Your booking constitutes a legal contract and you are responsible for the hire price.
Completion of an online or telephone booking is deemed as acceptance of these conditions.
Touring accommodation is for the exclusive use of the hirer and persons named in the booking for the period of hire as stated on the hire contract.
The park owner reserves the right to cancel or terminate a hire agreement or ask a guest to leave the park where a guest:
- has failed to disclose all material facts required by the booking process, or
- does not adhere to the park rules, or creates a nuisance.
In these circumstances the park owners shall not be under any liability to the person(s) involved and shall be discharged from their obligations.
The accommodation and facilities are used entirely at guests' own risk. The park owner is absolved of all liability for accidents, loss or damage to any person(s) or
property howsoever caused.
12. Holiday Insurance
We strongly advise guests to insure fully against all holiday risks.
The lovely market town of Buxton is just 20 minutes away. Here you can visit the underground limestone caves of Poole's Cavern or just explore the quaint shops and restaurants.
Bakewell is also just 25 minutes away, enjoy a stroll along the river and treat yourself to a slice of Bakewell tart. Chatsworth House is also nearby (35 minutes), with a collection of beautiful artworks, ancient sculptures and even pieces from Rembrandt!
